Supplies Needed
Scrapkit Beautiful by Bea here
I made a frame for this tut, click here
The kit is no longer on her blog so just click on her 4 shared link she has there for them and it will be right there on the first page of the 4 shared folder
Animation shop
The tube I used is by Vingar, you will need a license to use which you can purchase from PTE here
This wing animation is a lot easier than it looks, go ahead and give it a try
I learned this trick over a year ago and just never got around to doing a tut on it until now
If you get stuck or need some advice feel free to email me
Open your angel tube, shift D to duplicate. Keep original open
Using your freehand selection tool, select around the wings, I did one at a time
Copy your selection and paste as a new layer. If it was the left wing then name the layer to left wing
CTRL X to cut the wing off the tube
Repeat with the other wing
On the tube layer you will probably see some outline of color, so add a new raster layer and move it to the bottom & floodfill with a contrasting color. (I didn't do that and had to use the eraser in animation shop to get parts I missed in psp)
Use your eraser tool to get rid of it
Copy your wingless angel and paste into animation shop
Merge the 2 wings together
Copy and paste into after current on your wingless angel
Now you can delete the angel frame, we needed to do this to make the canvas size the same as the tube size
Effects>Insert Image Effect
Select compression
Effect length 1.7
Frames per second 6
You'll now have 11 frames
Activate frame 2, hold down your shift key and click on frame 10
Copy
Activate frame 11, paste after current
Do Not Deselect
On the tool bar click on Animation>Reverse Frames
You'll now have 20 frames
Go back to psp and copy your angel with no wings
Paste into animation shop
Multiply until you have 20 Frames
Grab the angel by the first frame and drag onto the first frame of the wings
Line it up before letting go
Now go view your animation to make sure they're moving smoothly
Back to psp for now
Open new transparent canvas 700x700, we will resize later
Close out the angel you just ripped apart
Paste your original tube as a new layer
Paste frame as a new layer
I had to resize mine to 110% because I didn't want to reduce the size of my tube since I already have it ready
Using your magic wand click inside the frame
Expand 10
Paste paper 7 into selection
Deselect
Paste flower 6 as a new layer
Resize to 40%
Rotate left 25
Position on lower left corner of the frame
Add drop shadow
Duplicate & mirror
Merge down
Duplicate & flip
Merge down
Add another drop shadow
Paste butterfly 1 as a new layer
Resize to 40%
Rotate left 25
Position on the right side of frame
Add drop shadow
Duplicate & mirror
Merge down
Add another drop shadow
Add your name & your © info
Delete the tube layer
Merge all layers
Copy and paste into animation shop
Multiply until you have 20 frames
Grad the angel by the first frame and drag onto first frame of your tag. Let go after you have it lined up
Resize animation to 75%
Save as gif and you're all done!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial
I would love to post your © compliant result, just email it to me with the tut name in the subject line
:)
